improve their marketing, their manufacturing operations, and their management.
Much of our work is done in collaboration with other businesses, government
agencies and organizations in Maine and the Northeast. "

Pine Tree Award Nominations Sought

Each year the MWPA presents the Pine Tree Award to a member company which has taken innovative steps in the past two years to strengthen their business. We are now accepting nominations for the 2012 Pine Tree Award.
Beginning this year, the Pine Tree Award will be presented to a MWPA member at a summer ceremony. Details will be released later this year.
Previous winners include Maine Wood Turning, Inc., Correct Building Products, Moosehead Manufacturing, Bethel Furniture Stock, The Maine Bucket Co., C.F. Wells, Vic Firth, Inc., Walpole Woodworkers, Mystic Woodworks, Kennebec Lumber Co. and Robbins Lumber Co.
Any MWPA or Guild member can apply by mail or email by sending a 2-3 paragraph description of recent innovations and how it has helped their business. Deadline is June 1, 2012.
